Crescent Diagnostics Ltd (“Crescent”), today announced the appointment of Stéphane Sallmard as a non-executive director. Mr. Sallmard is a seasoned healthcare executive who has held senior positions with General Electric Medical Systems and Acuson Inc. Most recently he was the CEO of Optos Plc. (UK) where he was instrumental in attracting $28M in new funding, growing the company from $1.5M revenues in 2001 to $67M revenues in 2006 and taking it public on the London Stock Exchange in early 2006. Stéphane Sallmard is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Forth Photonics.

Crescent Diagnostics and DeltaNu Ink IP Agreement

July 18th - Limerick, Ireland and Laramie, Wyoming USA: Crescent Diagnostics Ltd. has signed an intellectual property option agreement with DeltaNu LLC. This agreement gives Crescent an exclusive option to develop and market products from intellectual property that was invented at the University of Limerick and the University of Wyoming and is jointly held by Crescent and DeltaNu. The intellectual property describes a novel way to use Raman spectroscopy to diagnose bone health conditions like osteoporosis. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed. "We are very happy to conclude an agreement like this - it formalizes a great working relationship we've had with DeltaNu for the past two years," says Ernest Poku, CEO of Crescent Diagnostics. "The applications for Raman spectroscopy are growing," says Dr. Keith Carron, CEO of DeltaNu, "and DeltaNu is fortunate to partner with a leader like Crescent as it brings this important technology to the market."

Crescent Diagnostics Secures Venture Capital Financing

Crescent Diagnostics Ltd., a privately held company developing a new test for bone health, today announced the completion of a £550,000 (€800,000) funding round. Seroba BioVentures (Seroba), a Dublin-based specialist life science venture capital firm led the round in conjunction with a number of private investors.
